contribution
The participants are expected to contribute actively to their learning experience

- A booklet with the current EUSI recommendations
and recent reviews on major cerebrovascular topics is sent to the participants 4 weeks before the Summer
School. Participants are expected to read this booklet before the School.
- « Hands on seminars » : see Program Schedule.
- Scientific project : Each participant will gather informations
in his/her and other stroke units of his/her country about a specific topic to be determined (treatment
attitudes, patient characteristics, referral patterns, etc.). One goal of such a project might be to
get an idea about the adherence to EUSI guidelines. It is planned to use this project as an example
how to design a study, how to collect epidemiological data, and how to apply basic statistics. A short
publication with the results may be submitted to Cerebrovascular Diseases after the conference.
