EURESFUN - Goals

• To obtain a better understanding of the molecular basis of antifungal drug resistance in order to facilitate the development of diagnostic tools and effective intervention strategies to prevent resistance.
  
• Develop new approaches using drug combinations in order to improve therapeutic outcome and overcome resistance.
  
• To build up a collection of strains displaying a wide range of susceptibility to known antifungals and associated with molecular epidemiology data.
  
• To use the knowledge obtained in this study in order to generate novel diagnostic tools using post-genomic approaches.
