| Host and Pathogen Computational Biology
The HPCB unit is a collaborative effort between the Telenti, Greub, Sanglard and Hauser Laboratories at the Institute of Microbiology (CHUV-UNIL) and the Fellay Laboratory at the Global Health Institute (EPFL). It provides core bioinformatics support to wet lab and cohort studies in the field of microbiology. High performance computing is supported by Vital-IT.
The range of expertise covers:
- Next-generation sequencing
- Joint host-pathogen genome analysis
- Transcriptome analysis
- Comparative and evolutionary genomics
Coordination:

Paul McLaren, PhD, junior group leader Affiliations: Institute of Microbiology, CHUV (paul-jack.mclaren@chuv.ch); Global Health Institute, EPFL (paul.mclaren@epfl.ch); Program in Medical and Population Genetics, Broad Institute (pmclaren@broadinstitute.org).
