COST

The COST Action 855 entitled “Animal Chlamydiosis and its zoonotic implications” is a european-coordinated action-supported research on that field.

Our own research, supported by COST, aims at better defining the role of Chlamydia-like organisms as pathogens in animals and their zoonotic potential, and at better understanding their biology (intracellular trafficking, persistence, adhesins). This work is performed in collaboration with N. Borel, L. Vaughan, and A. Pospischil (Veterinary Pathology, University of Zürich).

The COST Action 867 entitled "Welfare of fish in European aquaculture" is a European-coordinated action-supported research on that field.

Our own research within COST Action 867, and supported by SBF/COST aims at better characterizing the role of Clamydia-related bacteria as pathogens in fish, especially as agents of epitheliocystis. This work is performed in collaboration with L. Vaughan, and A. Pospischil (Veterinary Pathology, University of Zürich)
