Diagnostic microbiology

The diagnostic section of the Institute of Microbiology led by Prof. Gilbert Greub performs a broad spectrum of in vitro diagnostic tests in the area of bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, parasitology, serology, virology and molecular diagnostic.
The list of diagnostic tests as well as sample management details are available (french only) at the microbiology web page within the Department of Laboratory Medicine of the CHUV. In addition to its routine tasks, the Institute is active in Research and Development, Professional Teaching, and provides Specialized Diagnostics.
The diagnostic section comprises 8 academic staff members, 6 head technicians and 30 technicians.
