| Teaching at the Institute of Microbiology of the University Hospital (IMUL)
One of the missions of the Institute of Microbiology is the teaching to students with medical or biological orientations. Teaching is under the authority of the School of Biology and the School of Medicine at the University of Lausanne.
Teaching at the School of Biology The Institute of Microbiology teaches within the Master of Genomics and Experimental Biology (GBE) during the 4th year (semesters 7 and 8) of the study in Biology. Students are integrated in research groups to complete 2 research projects (one in 7th semester and the Master thesis in semesters 8 and 9). The teaching program can be accessed online.
Teaching at the School of Medicine The Institute of Microbiology teaches (lectures, problem-based learning sessions and laboratory courses) within the curriculum of the Medical School, in particular in the second year (module 2.2, Blood-Immunity-Infection) and in the third year (module 3.3. In addition, members of the Institute intervene in later years to provide microbiology/infectious diseases aspects in the frame of other teaching modules. The teaching program can be accessed online.
