Brigitte Valzino trained as a medical laboratory technician in the EPSIC (vrofessional college) in Lausanne. She began work at the CHUV in 1978, in the Haematology Laboratory of the Maternity department. Since 1980, she has specialised in andrology and performs sperm analyses. She helped to set up the sperm bank at the CHUV.
Since 1984, she has performed her medically assisted reproduction work within the Andrology and Reproductive Biology Laboratory (ARBL). She divides her work between andrology tests, in vitro fertilisation techniques, preservation of fertility and quality controls in the laboratory.
Thanks to Brigitte Valzino, the ARBL benefits from the expertise of a pioneer in laboratory techniques associated with medically assisted reproduction.
