Cindy Pereira Portela obtained her Master and federal diploma in human medicine from the University of Lausanne in 2021. She performed her Master thesis on identifying predictive factors of ferric carboxymaltose associated hypophosphatemia in patients with previous bypass surgery at CHUV, in collaboration with the Division of Nephrology and the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. In November 2021, Cindy joined the research group of Prof. Alberio to perform her MD thesis working on the prevention of thrombo-hemorrhagic complications in patients with liver cirrhosis and the role of anticoagulant drugs in collaboration with the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at CHUV.
