Our service is leading an important research activity that consists of clinical and epidemiological research groups, or groups that dedicate themselves to molecular or cellular biology from the immune response to pathogens, in order to develop new strategies for the prevention and the treatment of infectious diseases.

The research projects focus on:

  • Innate Immunity and sepsis
  • Innate immunity, epigenetics and metabolism
  • Innate Immunogenetics
  • Infections by HIV
  • Bacterial and fungal infections
  • Prosthetic material infections
  • Transplant infectious disease
  • Tropical and travel health

We also participate in the organisation of research meetings at national and international level, such as those that the Swiss Society for Infectious Diseases organises.
