Facility
The Swiss BioMotion Lab has several evaluation and rehabilitation rooms. They allow state-of-the-art measurement of kinematics, kinetics, and muscle profiles. They also have mixed-reality capacity for immersive experiences and biofeedback. The rooms have been designed to address different needs and constraints from simple routine uses to complex research protocols. The location, at the center of the hospital campus, is another important asset.
The facility is mainly used by the Swiss BioMotion Lab and its partners for clinical, research, and teaching activities. It can also be made available, with qualified personal on demand, in other contexts. Anybody interested by these possibilities is invited to contact the lab.
In addition, the Swiss BioMotion Lab has strong collaborations with the local Department of Radiology and the Center for Biomedical Imaging equipped with a range of magnetic resonance, xray and ultrasound imaging machines.
Over the years, the Swiss BioMotion Lab has gained experience in the acquisition and processing of various types of data, particularly about human movement and structure. Protocols, pipelines, even software have been developed. Putting these in good use and challenging our knowhow with new projects is part of the lab DNA.
