David Viertl, PhD, is managing the microPET/SPECT/CT imaging facility of the nuclear medicine department, where he participates to the preclinical development of novel radiotracers (see scheme) and their translation into clinical applications for academic institution and pharmaceutical company. In this position, he also provides service to the Lausanne’s research community for molecular imaging of the small animal. The laboratory has therefore firsthand experience to bring research from bench to bedside but also to apply clinical protocols for small animal imaging.
