
Our 1st Symposium onAI‑Driven Advances in Clinical and Translational Medicine was held on the 13th of November 2024 at Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV).
Jointly sponsored by the CHUV Directorate of Innovation in Clinical Research and the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne (UNIL), the event highlighted the latest AI‑driven innovations and their transformative impact on clinical and translational medicine. Leading experts gathered to explore the evolving interface between data science and healthcare.
Throughout the day, participants attended presentations on a wide range of cutting‑edge topics, including advances in AI and their emerging applications in clinical practice. Talks showcased the growing role of AI in medical diagnostics, predictive modeling, personalized medicine, and the improvement of healthcare outcomes.
Attendees engaged in rich discussions on the future potential of AI technologies in both medical research and clinical care. The symposium attracted a diverse audience of data scientists, clinicians, and medical doctors from institutions such as CHUV, UNIL, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), the Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC), as well as many others from across the Lausanne region and Switzerland.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and exchange ideas on the latest advances in AI and their rapidly expanding applications in the medical field.
