Although great care is taken to ensure the accuracy of the information published on these websites, the CHUV cannot be held liable for the correctness, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, or completeness of the information provided.

The CHUV expressly reserves the right to modify, supplement, delete, or temporarily suspend all or part of the content of these websites at any time and without prior notice.

Links to External Websites

References and links to external websites are provided for information purposes only. The content, presentation, and services offered by these websites are the sole responsibility of their respective authors. Access to and use of these websites are at the user’s own risk.

Data Protection

Article 13 of the Federal Constitution of the Swiss Confederation and Swiss data protection legislation guarantee every person the right to privacy and protection against the misuse of personal data. The CHUV strictly complies with these provisions.

Personal data are treated confidentially and are neither sold nor shared with third parties.

The CHUV makes every effort to protect its databases against external access, loss, misuse, and falsification.

No personal data are recorded when accessing the homepage. The CHUV web server records only non‑personal statistical usage data, via cookies, in order to analyze the quality and usage of its online services (log files). The website uses the open‑source analytics technology  Matomo to analyze website traffic and improve content. Usage data are therefore not linked to personal data.

These rules do not apply in cases of voluntary contact. When a visitor provides an email address, it is stored in a separate database that has no connection to anonymous log files. Visitors may cancel their registration at any time.

Email addresses and other personally identifiable information are never shared with entities outside the CHUV. Only the website administrator retains emails received through the site. However, complaints submitted through this channel will be forwarded to the Legal Affairs Unit and the relevant department for follow‑up.
