On May 6, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming a large and highly engaged audience to our 2nd symposium on AI for Clinical and Translational Medicine. This remarkable turnout highlighted the biomedical community’s growing interest in AI and its already well-demonstrated potential as a transformative force in healthcare and patient care.
Our distinguished speakers shared their expertise and forward-looking perspectives on the implementation of AI in medicine.
Among the day’s highlights:
- Dr. Shirley Liu (GV20 Therapeutics) illustrated how the integration of AI, genomics, and immunology can accelerate the discovery and validation of novel antibody therapies. She showcased the first-in-class anti-IGSF8 therapy, which progressed to clinical stages within just three years and is already demonstrating promising efficacy against resistant cancers.
- Dr. Jonah Cool (Anthropic) presented the Claude AI platform, highlighting its potential to accelerate scientific discovery and enhance outcomes across life sciences research.
- Dr. Pranav Rajpurkar (Harvard) explored collaborative models where AI and clinicians operate in parallel, each leveraging their respective strengths. His insights underscored how such approaches could transform clinical practice while preserving the critical role of human judgment in medicine.
Many other outstanding speakers contributed to a rich and inspiring programme, sparking insightful discussions across a wide spectrum of topics—from AI applications in different medical fields, spanning oncology, pathology, cardiology and the management and treatment of infectious diseases.
