Genome of Switzerland

A nationwide initiative designed to generate high-quality whole-genome sequences from 1,000 individuals of Swiss origin and understand the distribution of genetic variation across the Swiss population. This knowledge will help clarify the genetic causes of diseases and contribute to improving personalized medical care. The project is funded by the two programs the Personalized Health and Related Technologies (PHRT) and the Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN).
