Background

Manuel Salazar is an expert in the management of healthcare organisations and in rehabilitation care, more specifically Neurorehabilitation, with over 30 years' experience. He is recognised for his ability to design and implement innovative organisational processes aimed at improving the quality of patient care. His expertise also extends to neurorehabilitation research and collaboration with training centres.

His qualifications include a university degree in nursing, a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in management of health and social organisations, as well as a diploma in clinical ethics.

For over 15 years, Manuel held a number of key positions in the field of acute care organisations, such as manager of a medical-technical platform including emergency, operating theatre, intensive care, hospital hygiene and sterilisation, as well as overall management of patient flows for an entire acute care centre.

Later, over a period of more than 20 years, he became project manager for the merger of two neurorehabilitation centres and then Director of the hospital department. His management skills, his experience of healthcare systems in general and his commitment to developing training and research make him a key player in improving healthcare and patient rehabilitation.
