The national center for tick-borne diseases

The National Reference Center for tick-borne diseases (CNRT) supports the Federal Office of Public Health FOPH, the cantons and medical professionals in the diagnostics or reference diagnostics of Lyme disease, tick-borne encephalitis, and Q fever.

The reference center also provides its expertise for various other bacteria transmitted by ticks (Rickettsia conorii, Rickettsia africae, Neoehrlichia mikurensis, Francisella tularensis, Anaplasma phagocytophilum, Rhabdochlamydia helevticae, ….).

CHUV and ADMED are leading together the CNRT, from January 2022.
