Swiss Young Immunologists Society (SYIS) Annual Symposium
The Swiss Young Immunologists Society (SYIS) is organizing the 4th edition of the SYIS Annual Symposium in collaboration with UNIL.
This year, the event will take place at the Synathlon building of the University of Lausanne, just before the SSAI congress happens also in Lausanne, at Beaulieu, on 28-29 August.
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy excellent immunology talks, present their research in interactive sessions, and network with immunologists from across Switzerland.
Confirmed speakers include Dr. Nagham Alouche (University of Lausanne), who will explore fibroblast–immune cell interactions in lymph node development and function, and PD Dr. Milena Sokolowska (Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research - SIAF, University of Zurich), an expert in immune metabolism, airway epithelium and T cells, with a focus on allergy and asthma.
Parallel workshops will cover:
- career paths
- tips for writing competitive grants
- science communication strategies
- introduction to the SSAI-SYIS Mentoring Program for early-career researchers
Abstract submission is open until 1st July, don’t miss this great opportunity to showcase your research, network and participate in interesting workshops for career development, all in one day, in Lausanne!
This event is open to both SYIS and non-SYIS members, and scientists at all career stages to participate are encouraged.
Additionally, the SYIS will apply for accreditation of the meeting as continuing education in animal experimentation.
Registration is open until July 15, 2025.
