Dr Laurent Vaucher studied in the Faculty of Biology and Medicine at the University of Lausanne, where he obtained his degree in medicine in 1998. After two years of research in the field of optical tissues and lasers at the Institute of Physiology and at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) (Lausanne University Research Institute), he undertook training in urology at the CHUV.

In 2007, he obtained the title of FMH specialist in urology.

From 2007 to 2009 he joined the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, where he was awarded the prestigious fellowship in andrology and reproductive medicine under the direction of Prof. Peter Schlegel. His time there allowed him to become a renowned specialist in andrology and male infertility, with expertise in testicular biopsies under the microscope.

In the Fertility Medicine and Gynaecological Endocrinology unit

On returning to Switzerland, he joined the Department of Urology at the CHUV, where he occupied the post of hospital physician from 2010 to 2013. He is the author of several chapters in books and of scientific publications dealing with sexual medicine and male infertility. Dr Vaucher currently offers private consultations in the Clinique de Genolier and works as a registered doctor in the Fertility Medicine and Gynaecological Endocrinology unit, where he is head of the Andrology and Male Infertility Clinic.
