Induction of ovulation

The induction of ovulation allows ovulation to be obtained in patients who do not ovulate spontaneously, classically in patients who present with polycystic ovary syndrome.

The medicinesare prescribed to be taken by mouth (clomiphene citrate or letrozole).

In some situations, the use of a GnRH pump is proposed. This is a device inserted under the skin or into a vein, which delivers GnRH in pulses at a defined frequency and quantity.
