Irène Demierre

Sexual and reproductive health counsellor

Irène Demierre completed her Master's degree in Social Sciences at the University of Geneva in 2017. She then undertook a DAS (Diploma of Advanced Studies) in sexual health, which she completed in 2021.

She then worked as a sexual and reproductive health counselor at the HUG Sexual Health Center, before joining the CHUV Fertility Medicine team in September 2022.

With a keen interest in the social world and migration, in 2015, alongside her studies, she founded an association to offer activities and support to people with migratory backgrounds.

In Fertility Medicine and Gynecological Endocrinology, she offers couples psychological support, called a "resource assessment" with tailored support for couples or patients facing fertility problems or other medical follow-up (endometriosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, early menopause etc.). The aim is to help them make the most of their resources and, if necessary, give them a new perspective on their journey.
