In addition to its mission of care and education, our Department continues research in order to advance in the understanding of psychological diseases as well as to evaluate and improve the treatments.
Based within the same Cery Hospital complex, the Center for Psychiatric Neurosciences (CNP) is one of the few structures that integrates clinical practice to scientific dimension. Its research conducted in collaboration with our other services focuses on several psychiatric diseases such as schizophrenia, drug addiction, anxiety states, depression or Alzheimer's disease.
The Department also conducts several projects focusing, for example, on the evaluation of the effectiveness of psychotherapy and of the central role of the therapeutic alliance.
