Research Interests

The main interests of Dr. Badiu are in neuroendocrinology, neuroendocrine tumors and psycho-neuroendocrinology. His basic research is on neuroendocrinology of rhythms and pineal gland. The clinical research is collaborative and multidisciplinary in the rare diseases area, including human genetics, developmental biology; molecular biology and clinical endocrinology. His research projects include immunohistochemistry in human pituitary adenomas and pharmacokinetics of testosterone preparations in hypogonadal men.

Clinical Expertise

His clinical practice covers the spectrum of neuroendocrinology, including pituitary and neuroendocrine tumors, as well as thyroid cancer. He also has extensive experience in the treatment of male hypogonadism.
