Research Interests

J-P. Bourguignon is a translational researcher with the neuroendocrine control of puberty as primary focus. His work has contributed to deciphering some physiological neuroendocrine mechanisms of sexual maturation. He has extended his studies to the role of endocrine disrupting chemicals. His research projects aim at the effects of fetal and neonatal exposure to endocrine disrupters on homeostasis of reproduction and energy balance.

Clinical Expertise

His clinical practice bears on pediatric endocrinology with special emphasis on disorders of puberty and adolescence.
