Research Interests

One of the research themes in Dr. Parnavelas' laboratory is the development of the mammalian GnRH neuronal system. Specifically, we are interested in the cell and molecular mechanisms that underlie the genesis, differentiation and, especially, the migration of GnRH neurons. The significance of our research programme lies with the opportunity to shed light in the aetiologies of infertility in humans.
