Background

Dr P. d'Honincthun holds a PhD in psychological sciences from the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium (clinical neuroscience specialization), and has been working in our department as both a neuropsychologist and speech therapist since 2011, and as a manager in charge of the outpatient neuropsychology rehabilitation sector since 2020.

Dr P. d'Honincthun has developed, among other things, in-depth assessments and group cognitive and ecological treatments of verbal working memory and social cognition, areas in which she is carrying out research in collaboration with Dr Sonia Crottaz-Herbette, Marie Pittet, Prof. A. Serino, and Prof. A Sokolov.  Dr P. d'Honincthun's areas of focus include the psychometric and ecological validity of social cognition assessment tools, the efficacy of treatments for working memory and social cognition, functional cerebral reorganization after a cognitive rehabilitation of the updating sub-component of working memory, and the contribution of immersive virtual reality to neuropsychological treatment.

Dr P. d'Honincthun is also a lecturer at University of Lausanne, of Neuchâtel and of Geneva.

Finally, as a member of the recognition commission of the Swiss Association of Neuropsychologists (ASNP), she is involved with the assessment of applications for the title of specialist in neuropsychology FSP.  She is also a member of the board of the “Société de Neuropsychologie de Langue Française” (SNLF).
